The Shire of Blackwater Keep is a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) located in the Kingdom of the Outlands. The SCA is a non-profit organization devoted to keeping alive the Arts and Sciences of the Dark Ages, Middle Ages, and Renaissance. Our members celebrate the cultures and heritages of people from all around the world.

The modern lands of Blackwater Keep consists of Clovis, Portales, Cannon Air Force Base, and surrounding the towns, in Eastern New Mexico.

Here at Blackwater Keep, our members enjoy Armored Combat, Historical Fencing, Archery, and the Art & Sciences.
